Blankney Winter Policy

Like most courses, there are sometimes restrictions during the winter months. These are in place to protect the course when it is at its most vulnerable and the policy greatly contributes to better playing conditions during the spring, summer and autumn. There are very rarely any restrictions during wet conditions but when we have a frost, the Greenkeeping staff move us onto temporary greens and there is usually a trolley/buggy ban too. As soon as the frost abates the ban is lifted and whenever possible we also move back onto the main greens. The course stands up well during the winter months and hardly ever closes.
